Celebrate FreedomAfter the Second World War every year in the Netherlands on 4 May a commemoration took place of the WO II victims. On 5 May the liberation of the Netherlands by the Allies Forces was celebrated. Since several years, the National Committee 4-5 May works under the motto "Celebrate Freedom", broadening the scope of the anniversaries to link up to young people's world and new challenges in society related to tolerance and non-violence. As 2009 Theme has been chosen "Feedom and Identity", a very interesting topic as worldwide many conflicts have their roots in abuse of identity issues and the lack of tolerance of one group as to the other groups' identities.
