5th Anniversary of the Tragic Mine Incident near Sopot

On the sorrowful occasion of the 5th anniversary of the tragic mine incident which killed 2 NATO soldiers from Poland and 1 Macedonian citizen, the Defence Attaché, Lt. Col. Arthur Beglinger, on behalf of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, paid respects and laid fresh flowers at the memorial of the 2 soldiers who lost their lives near the village of Sopot, Kumanovo.
On 04 March 2003, on the road between the villages of Sopot and Susevo, an explosion of an anti-tank mine killed the Polish peacekeepers, sergeant Piotr Mikulowski and sergeant Pawel Legencki, and 1 Macedonian citizen and seriously wounded 2 Macedonians.
