This will resut in a deeper contact with Dutch modern dance and in future co-operation between dance artists from both countries. The Macedonian public will have the opportunity to see the latest trends of one of the best dance groups in the Netherlands.
Mr. Itzik Galili, the director Galili Dance Company, is an award-winning choreographer, born in Israel in 1961. He moved to Amsterdam when he was 30 and has become one of Europe's most idiosyncratic choreographers. Mr. Galili is highly regarded in the Netherlands. Mr. Galili mixes influences from film and theatre, and his work is thought of being both surreal and humorous as well as demanding for the dancers, in energy, speed, and technique without losing the essential softness and sincerity. The Macedonian audience will have a chance to see three pieces of the best known shows, “Heads or Tales - Hot”, ‘Chameleon’ and the ‘The Sofa Scene’ from ‘Through Nana’s Eyes’.
