Ambassador visits Dutch Companies

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Macedonia has been undertaking several initiatives to improve the trade and investment exchange between the two countries. As part of the process, on the invitation of Dutch companies that already have activities in Macedonia, the Netherlands Ambassador, H.E. Simone Filippini participated in events aimed at encouraging Dutch trade and investments with the country.

DIKA BV (Schoonhoven) (www.dika.nl) is a partner of Susara Lars (www.susaralars.com.mk) from Stip that produces dehydrated food ingredients for the European markets. The company hosted an information event on the 27th of March, for its partners from the agri and food processing industries, on the possibilities of doing business in Macedonia. Presentations on trade instruments such as the PUM (www.pum.nl) and PSOM (www.evd.nl/psom) were also included in the event that was opened by the H.E. Simone Filippini and the Charge d'Affaires at the Macedonian Embassy in the Hague, Ms Shpresa Jusufi.

SBW International BV (Roelofarendsveen) (www.sbw.nu) is owner of the tissue culture laboratory in Vinica, Macedonia with additional international operations in Ghana and Brazil. On the 28th of March, SBW invited their partners and customers from the horti/floriculture sector for a presentation on the possibilities of investing in Macedonia. The event was opened by H.E. Simone Fillipini and the Charge d'Affaires at the Macedonian Embassy in the Hague, Ms Shpresa Jusufi. As part of SBWs promotion of investment possibilities in the horti/floriculture sector in Macedonia, the company encouraged journalists from the Bloemenkrant (www.bloemenkrant.nl) to visit the country and present the possibilities to their readers. The interest of Dutch companies in both events led to the initiative of the Embassy in coordination with SBW International BV and DIKA BV to organize trade missions to Macedonia in their respective sectors of interests.
