The Netherlands Embassy is again funding a campaign  to promote the 197 open telephone line at the Macedonian Customs Administration for reporting criminal and corruption activities. The campaign includes leaflets and posters in five languages, Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, English and French.

As part of this campaign, the  billboards and signs at the border crossings  will be updated as well.  Dutch support to this campaign is a continuation of the support that the Embassy provides to increase the capacities of the Macedonian Customs Administration through a bilateral twinning project with the Netherlands Tax and Customs Administration.

Moreover, it is a continuation of the support that the embassy has been providing since the establishment of the open line in 2004 to raise awareness on the existence of the 197 open line. The renewed campaign will assist the Macedonian Customs Administration in its  struggle against smuggling and corruption activities within the organisation. "
