The Embassy is proud to announce the performance of the Dutch acrobat duo  “Soepsisters”, as a part of the Buskerfest Skopje 2008. The two acrobats (Ms. Edith van Overveld and Ms. Anna Maria Divera) will perform for the second time in Skopje together with 93 performers and 5 bands from all corners of the world. Their performance is scheduled for 5th June 2008.

Buskerfest is envisaged to be a free, open air event at the Square Macedonia in Skopje, the streets in the central city area, in the Old Bazaar and Macedonia Street, with international street performers such as acrobats, clowns, jugglers, magicians, musicians, etc. It is a free festival for the entire family without any admission fee or tickets. By featuring some of the best street performers from the world and at the same time street performers from Macedonia, the festival will offer  loads of street fun where the spectators will be as active as the performers.

Busker is a person who entertains people in public places. Buskers can be dancers, mimes, jugglers, acrobats, clowns, comedians, actors, magicians and musicians. Busking is a way of bringing entertainment to the people in the most diverse, spontaneous and accessible way. Rarely busker`s performances can be described before they have been experienced.
