EVD News: 2g@there Programme RevisedThe Ministry of Economic Affairs’ 2g@there programme encourages businesses wishing to jointly develop a multi-year strategy to tackle a foreign market. Government support must be essential to the success of the strategy. As of 8 June 2009, some aspects of the programme have been modified. The changes are summarised below:
Former programme: | | New programme: |
- Mandate programme
- Vision document
- Open cluster (no minimum)
- Emerging countries and specific sectors
- Two submission rounds
| | - Subsidy programme (Economic Affairs framework act), with
mandates for G2G, communication etc - Internationalisation strategy
- Closed cluster (possibly open)
- Promising sectors worldwide
- Year-round submission possible
|
Potential candidates can register year-round by means of a preliminary registration, downloadable from
www.evd.nl/2getthere. They must then present an Internationalisation Strategy (IS) in which goals, expected results, opportunities and risks are stated, as well as a working plan for the first year, with a specific financial timeline. Companies pay only travel and accommodation expenses (trade missions) or 50 percent of the cost of studies, seminars, coordination expenses, demonstration projects etc. The maximum subsidy is € 1.5 million. Once the IS is approved, the 2g@there programme will begin. The missions and Dutch Ministries are called on to evaluate both documents.
