Nowadays, celebrating the Netherlands Queen’s day in Macedonia is a fact and tradition. This year, on April 29th the Netherlands embassy in cooperation with various institutions and NGO’s organised this event with a variety of activities in Skopje. 

In this year’s celebration of Queen’s day, MHNA facilitated this event in some activities.

Upon the official opening of the ceremony by the Ambassador HE Simone Filippini, members of MHNA sang the national anthem of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dutch language; the same was followed by the anthem of the Republic of Macedonia.  

Furthermore, MHNA had its stand which was staffed with Executive board members. MHNA stand proved to be attractive for visitors and guests that attended the event. Guests showed huge interest in getting information about studying and educational programs in Holland. 

Indeed, they received various brochures about educational opportunities in the Netherlands, Nuffic fellowship programme, Study in Holland and general information about educational institutions in the Netherlands. Alumni members provided visitors with practical information about studies and life in Holland as well as career perspectives.  

Last but not least, this was a great networking opportunity for our association as well. People from Macedonia that are associated in different ways with the Netherlands used this opportunity to share their experiences. This opportunity can be considered as a solid beginning for our future activities.
